zijn onderschept, en dit inderdaad vijf procent van totale voorraad zou
betreffen, zou deze voorraad dus bestaan uit 300.000 dia's en 80.000 films. Stel
dat deze gehele voorraad in 1977 is geproduceerd en verkocht, en dat dia's en
films samen de helft (en daarvan elk een kwart) van de totale omzet uitmaken (de
andere helft bestaat dan uit boekjes en losse foto's). De 80.000 films zouden
dan 0,25 x $500 miljoen = $125 miljoen hebben gekost, oftewel gemiddeld
$1.562,50 per stuk. Zouden films en dia' s elk maar tien procent van het totaal
hebben uitgemaakt, dan nog zou de verkoopprijs van de films gemiddeld nog altijd
$625 hebben bedragen. Zouden we er, realistischerwijze, van uitgaan dat de
genoemde voorraad niet uitsluitend in 1977 is geproduceerd en verkocht, dan zou
de verkoopprijs van de films nog eens navenant hoger zijn.
